A bit about me:
I’m the founder of Philanthropy For All, a non-profit fundraising consultant and a philanthropy advocate based in Vancouver, Canada. For the last 5 years, I’ve been on a mission to reinvigorate philanthropy while working with awesome people and non-profits on projects that are going to change the world!
Prior to starting my own consulting and copywriting business in 2012, I worked with the University of British Columbia and Union Gospel Mission in their annual giving and mid-level donor programs. Since 2011, I’ve been on the Board of Directors at Women Against Violence Against Women where I serve as Vice Chair of the Board and Chair of the Fund Development Committee.
A bit about Philanthropy For All:
Philanthropy For All emerged from my desire to examine the kinds of relationships non-profits have with their donors – especially annual giving donors. After several years of working in non-profit fundraising I encountered countless supporters who gave modestly every year and wanted to be involved in other ways with the charity. But most often these supporters received little, if any, direct contact from staff, and yet they were arguably the most deeply invested in the cause. This was something I had a difficult time understanding and made me realized that there is a large disparity between fundraising relationships and philanthropy relationships.
Philanthropy For All was established with the goal of improving annual giving philanthropy – one donor at a time. Through our regular blog posts, weekly newsletters and monthly resources, we empower non-profit fundraisers and communicators with the tools and advice they need help their cause realize their vision.
